Set up was easy after reading the reviews. Great little utility to have.
Got tired of the ads in the free version so I upgraded
Doesnt work in Lion anymore. Also, iOS 6 seemed to kill the program on my phone. I miss being able to control my computer from my phone. Will there ever be another update?
Stopped working, no updates. Waste of money.
After setting up remote login on your mac, this app works extremely well.
This app does exactly what it says it will do. It leaves me wondering why this isnt built into Apples Remote app. Apples Remote app only controls iTunes volume. Glad to have this app to control the system volume!
Works as promised, integrate this into the remote app please!
Works great with small increments so the volume can be finely controlled.
After turning on remote login, I was prompted for a login/password as to which I did not know nor could I figure out.. Ultimately gave up and accepted the fact that I just wasted $1.00.
This app does exactly what it says it will. If youre in bed and youre too lazy to get up because youre in a Netflix coma and youre Mac is just way too loud, buy this app. Works with Yosemite.
Cannot log on using provided instructions. How do I get a refund?
I think it needs to be posted that the login and password are not the login and password for your iTunes, rather the login/password for your computer. When you lock your computer or close it, it requires a password and above where you put that is the username. The app requires this to access your macs volume controls. overall, very good app. I would suggest adding this information to the video on enabling the remote access.
Doesnt do as described -- will not find iMac, even after enabling remote login and restarting. Save your $.99
Tried all night to get it working, no support, it just spins. Bye bye 99 cents, didnt know it was a gambling app.
Worked once and never again. Poor config settings Lost money
Wow this is great. Use the login and password when your laptop is locked and itll work! This is so worth it
I used to love this app. Unfortunately... 1) When used to control volume on a Mac running El Capitan, this app simply no longer works: it crashes as soon as that computer is selected as the volume target. It still works fine for machines running Yosemite. 2) Since the iOS 9 release for the iPhone, even used to control volume on Yosemite Macs, this app has become problematic. After the phone returns to the lock screen, getting back to the point where the volume can be adjusted requires a ridiculous number of steps: swipe to unlock, open the Volume app again (either by touching the icon or choosing it from the open apps screen), choose the appropriate computer, wait a second or two for it to login, and only *then* adjust the volume. Previously, if Volume was the open app when the phone went to the lockscreen, the only action required was swiping to unlock. I realize that this change in workflow isn’t the fault of this app’s developer, but that doesn’t change the fact that it renders Volume Control for Mac far too slow to use as a volume remote (which is really its only reason for existence). Hopefully these issues can be solved in a future version. If not, this app should be considered dead for anyone running an up-to-date OS on either their iPhone or Mac.
